Celebrate Memorial Day aboard the Battleship Iowa

On Monday, May 25, join thousands of patriotic visitors as they celebrate Memorial Day aboard the World War 2 landmark Battleship Iowa. In honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, the Battleship Iowa is having a fun, free event titled “United States Military Appreciation Day.”

Located in San Pedro, California, this historical masterpiece will be the center of attention as the festivities take place from 9am to 3pm. In addition to paid tours ($10) of the battleship, there will also be the following free activities:

  • Live Broadcast with The Morning Answer from 6am to 9am
  • Live Broadcast with Dennis Prager from 9am to 12pm
  • The Lindy Sisters will perform at 12pm
  • A special Memorial Day Program at 1pm
  • Food and Carnival games all day

This event is presented by AM590 and AM870. It will also feature a free Q&A with Love Boat star Bernie Kopell who served on the Battleship Iowa from 1956 to 1957. Military members will get free tours of the massive Battleship Iowa.

This special event is located at 250 South Harbor Blvd., San Pedro, CA. For more information, check out the official website.
