North Coast

The North Coast of California spans from north of the Bay Area all the way to the Oregon border. It’s filled with quaint coastal towns and breathtaking views of the ocean. The coastal towns are still small enough to appreciate, yet big enough to provide all the amenities you need.

Some of the world’s tallest and oldest trees can be found in this region as many of the state’s protected and cherished Redwood parks are located in the North Coast. Additionally, some of California’s historical landmarks like Fort Ross and the perfectly preserved town of Ferndale can be found here.

There’s a portion of Humboldt and Mendocino counties that’s referred to as the Lost Coast of California due to it being virtually free of towns, developments and populations. It’s an area where the California coast can be truly appreciated for its magnificence without any distractions.

Whether you are driving up Highway 101 or taking a cruise along the coast on Highway 1, the North Coast provides scenic adventures unlike anywhere else in the state.
